With Amsterdam as the centre of attention, Noord-Holland is a base for exciting, interesting, cultural or sports activities, for a day out.
 But North-Holland has much more to offer. On the west-coast, there are quite a few well known resorts such as Zandvoort, Egmond and Bergen, and up north, Texel. Along the IJsselmeer, there are historical cities such as Volendam, Enkhuizen and Hoorn.
Going out for the evening in Noord-Holland is no problem. There are numerous gigs and performances in all kinds of places. In the larger places, you can allow yourself to be swept away in the bustling nightlife. |
